Tura Peak, rising nearly 900 meters above sea level, is one of the highest points in Meghalaya. Located near Tura town, it offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The trek to the summit is moderately challenging, passing through dense forests inhabited by hornbills, gibbons, and other wildlife. At the top, visitors can enjoy breathtaking vistas and explore the historic Cinchona plantation and observation tower.

Tura Peak is located just 5 km from Tura town. Local cabs are available, or you can walk to the base.

The trail to the summit begins near Akonngre, just outside Tura. Trekking routes are available directly from Tura, and the hike to the top typically takes 60–90 minutes.

It is advisable to arrange for a local guide or a travel companion who is familiar with the local language and the location.
