
Siju Cave
A fascinating limestone cave in Meghalaya, adorned with stalactites and stalagmites, offering an adventurous underground exploration.
Siju Cave, also known as Dobakkol or Bat Cave, is one of India's longest limestone caves, stretching over 4.7 km. Located near the Simsang River, it is famous for its stunning rock formations and underground streams. The cave is home to thousands of bats and unique cave-dwelling species, making it a significant site for biospeleology research. Visitors can explore its labyrinthine passages and marvel at nature’s underground artistry.

125 Kms
From Tura, Siju is about 125 km away. The route via Baghmara takes around 4–5 hours by SUV due to rugged terrain.
The cave is located near Napak Lake and the Simsang River Reserve in South Garo Hills.
It is advisable to arrange for a local guide or a travel companion who is familiar with the local language and the location.
