Cabs or local transport can be taken from Shillong or Guwahati to Smit, the nearest major village. From Smit, it's a 15-minute drive to the canyon. There are no direct local buses, so hiring a taxi or booking a day tour is the best option.

Laitlum Canyon is located in the East Khasi Hills District, approximately 25 km from Shillong.
