Cabs or local transport can be taken from Shillong or Guwahati to Smit, the nearest major village. From Smit, it's a 15-minute drive to the canyon. There are no direct local buses, so hiring a taxi or booking a day tour is the best option.

How to Get There

  • Shared vehicles to Sohra (Cherrapunji) are available from Bara Bazaar or Anjali Taxi Stand in Shillong.
  • Stop just before the Duwan Sing Syiem bridge, valley views and ziplining are visible from the roadside.
  • Public transport is limited late in the day, if you don’t have a vehicle, try to head back before 4 PM.
